Asbestos Fire Goods.

Asbestos Fire Goods.

A correspondence with Edward Wertheim of Chicago, who represents German asbestos goods in this country, will prove both beneficial and instructive to those of our readers interested in such matters. Doubtless thousands inspected the display of asbestos goods in the German section of Machinery Hall at the World’s Fair, It was Louis Wertheim, of Frankfort-onMain, who was the exhibitor and manufacturer, and it is his Son, Edward Wertheim, who has located in Chicago and represents the German house in this country, and whose advertisement will be found elsewhere in FIRE AND WATER. It is Mr. Wertheini's intention to meet the lire chiefs and others interested in American lire service at the Montreal convention this year, and there exhibit a full line of asbestos tire goods, as lifesaving suits, ropes, ladders, gloves, hose, helmets, boots, masks, aprons, cloth, etc. lie also intends, with the consent of the committee, to deliver a lecture on the merits of hisgoods to the members. Mr. Wertheim has travelled in this country and Canada for the past eight years, and is familiar with the requirements of the lire service.

When the tire chiefs m-et him they will become acquainted with a most pleasing and agreeable gentleman, one thoroughly posted in the asbestos line.
