Water Works Litigation
The suit of the Marlborough, N. Y. Water Works Company against the village of Marlborough to recover £140 for the use of fire hydrants, was tried last week and it was decided that there were no facts to be submitted to the jury to determine but only a question of law for the court to decide. The court allowed each side 10 days to file briefs.
E. E. Grant and G. W. Collins, of Uniontown. Pa., has entered suit against the Mountain Water Supply Company, to recover $1,200 damages done their property in upper Tyrone township by an overflow of water alleged to have been caused by the water company obstructing a culvert under the southwest P. R. R. tracks. The water company maintains reservoirs in Springfield township and by placing a main from the reservoir in the culvert the opening thereof was crowded and the damage resulted August 19, 1912.
