WATER RATES
Officials of the water department of Quincy, Mass., have instituted a campaign for the purpose of collecting all debts due the department. Every unpaid service will be shut off unless the bill is paid promptly, except in cases of severe poverty or illness.
The Chamber of Commerce of Scottdale, Pa., has appointed a water committee to investigate the new rates demanded by the Citizens’ Water Company of Scottdale. The committee will act in the interests of all citizens in its study of the matter, and will be present at all conferences that may be held in regard to adjusting the rates.
