The Yonkers Water Works Board.
The report of the Board of Water Commissioners for the city of Yonkers, N. Y., for the year ending December 1, 1893, has just been submitted to the Mayor and Common Council.
The board has expended $8,590.56 for maintenance and repairs, a trifle less than the previous year. The pumping cost $14,275.32, and repairs of boilers and engines $2,313.76. The total expense of maintenance and operation was $30 -892.45, an increase of $1,911.98, of which about $600 was in the increased cost of pumping and the balance in repairs of engines and boilers. The earnings of the works over the expenses of operation for the fiscal year were $79,250.34, an increase of $6,888.93.
