WELLS
A movement has been set on foot to secure a water supply for New bold and South Westville, Pa., and it is rumored that a syndicate of capitalists have offered to sink wells and erect a stand pipe. These places have grown so rapidly during the last three years that a water supply has become almost a necessity, and, while the residents have wells sunk on their property, yet a general supply station is needed, and arrangements will probably be perfected for the erection of a station.
The artesian well being driven at Wildwood Beach, N. J., Fas now reached a depth of 1025 feet, without striking a sufficient flow of water to warrant the erection of a water works. At a depth of over 800 feet a small flow of water was found, and the Baker Brothers will continue drilling until they find sufficient water to supply all wants.
