Association Holds Its Thirty-fourth Annual Meeting at Atlantic City— Over Fifty Committee Reports Presented

PRESIDENT FRANK C. JORDAN, of the National Fire Protection Association, at its thirty-fourth annual meeting in his presidential address opening the convention advocated a nation-wide campaign for modernizing old buildings to reduce the menace of firetraps which, he said, take about 10,000 lives each year. Mr. Jordan is Secretary of the Indianapolis Ind., Water Company. The meeting of the association was held at Hotel Haddon Hall, Atlantic City, N. J., on May 12 to 14, with a large attendance of delegates. Reports were received trom over fifty committees, representing every phase of fire protection and prevention.
