Feb. 3—A fire Wednesday evening in San Rafael left four people displaced from their home.
下午6:05点,San Rafael firefighters responded to a blaze in a single-family home located at 98 Marinita Ave.
The house’s garage was found fully involved and beginning to extend into the living areas on the floor above. Four engines, a ladder truck and a battalion chief got the fire contained to the garage within 15 minutes, Deputy Fire Chief Robert Sinnott said.
The cause of the fire, which started in the garage, was determined to be electrical.
Due to smoke damage, the home’s four residents are displaced until repairs to the garage and cleaning of all living areas are completed, Sinnott said.
The garage was heavily damaged. Its contents including one vehicle were destroyed. No damage estimate is available at this time.
