An explosion and fire at an industrial block in downtown Los Angeles sent 140 firefighters to the scene,reports LAist.
洛杉矶消防局(具)系ls said at least one explosion occurred prior to firefighters arriving at the location shortly after noon. They said a well-coordinated effort saved the adjacent businesses from damage.
First-arriving LAFD crews found heavy fire in a 50 x 100 foot, one-story building in front of a row of commercial occupancies. The apparent explosion had significantly impacted the building’s structural integrity, forcing firefighters to adopt a defensive posture. Three men were injured, two critically. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire in a little more than an hour.
