FEMA/USFA’s goal is to hold at least one workshop in every State by the end of March 2002. Both organizations are working with State agencies to provide them with the materials they need to hold additional workshops. Therefore, most people should be able to attend a workshop in their area.
FEMA/USFA are still in the process of scheduling these events and they will be added to our web site at http://www.usfa.fema.gov/grants/02wrkshps.htm as soon as they are confirmed.
These workshops will not be the only way to find out more about the 2002 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. FEMA/USFA also plans to produce a satellite broadcast, post additional information to the Web site, answering their toll-free hotline, and responding to email.
