The Funeral of Ex-Chief Evans.
The remains of Samuel N. Evans, ex-chief of the Pittsburg, Pa., fire department, were interred on November 25. Thirty members of the Allegheny, with Director Murphy and Chief Schartzraan and fifty members of the Pittsburg department, with Chief Engineer Humphreys, and Assistants Steele and Coats, escorted the funeral procession. A large number of city officials were also in attendance, as well as a crowd of friends which showed the esteem in which the chief was held
