The bids for the sewer at Thorndike, Mass., will be opened by the selectmen a week from Monday.
As soon as the tile can be brought from Akron, O., work will immediately begin on the new sewers at Middletown, Conn., ordered for Miller, Bridge, Pearl and Hotchkiss streets, and Goodyear avenue. The contract was awarded to Lyman D. Mills.
