New Pumper for Suffern, N. Y.

At a 12-hour Underwriters’ test of the new Pirsch-Packard triple combination pumper recently acquired by the fire department of Suffern, N. Y., for Volunteer Hose Company No. 1, the apparatus, in the first test, pumped 354 gals, per minute, at 121 lbs. net pump pressure; in the second test, 178 gals, at 206 lbs., and in the third, 130 gals, at 253 lbs., a perfect score. The test was conducted by A. C. Hutson, engineer of the National Board.
