VIOLENT EXPLOSIONS rocked Pennsylvania’s largest liquid chlorine and acid repackaging plant, the Western Pennsylvania Chemical Company, Inc., early on the morning of October 21. Fire, fed by tons of flammable liquids and chemicals stored in the plant, raged for more than three hours.
