The Ahrens Manufacturing Company, of Cincinnati, was last week awarded a contract to furnish the Chicago Fire Department with two new Ahrens engines. Chicago has purchased thirteen Ahrens engines within as many months. Hiram H. Nieman, the popular treasurer of the Ahrens Company, is selling a large number of engines to cities and towns all over the West.
