The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) will host the 5thAnnual Video Quality in Public Safety (VQiPS) Workshop—a program that gathers input from practitioners and video experts delivering guidance and educational resources to assist the first responder community.
Led by S&T’s Office for Interoperability and Compatibility, the VQiPS initiative was established in 2008 as a multi-stakeholder partnership between the DHS S&T, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Public Safety Communications Research program, public safety practitioners, the private sector, and the global research community.
VQiPS Workshop attendees will learn about emerging video technology, and can expect to leave the event with a clear understanding of the VQiPS tools available. Further, as the technology landscape continues to rapidly evolve, this Workshop aims to increase awareness of developing technologies, best practices, and lessons learned in this field.
