HAVANA’S SEWERS.
A Havana dispatch, dated Jan. 10, states that Mr. McGivney has signed the sewer contra_____ for McGivney & Rokeby, and acting Mayor La Torre has signed it for the city. Senor La Torre is the second vicemayor, the first vicemayor having de dined to accept the mayoralty upon the suspension of Mayor Gener. Mr. McGivney has deposited $500,000, on which the firm will receive three pet cent, interest, as a guarantee for the proper fulfil ment of the work. The work will be begun within thirty days, provided $10,646,000 is raised.
