四个Firemen Injured in Apparatus Crash

Four firemen narrowly escaped serious injury when a pumper in Augusta, Ga., crashed into a pole while responding to a fire alarm received by telephone. The men were injured to some extent and were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.

Chief John B. Kennedy in his department report recommended the purchase of two new pumpers, one to replace the one that was damaged in the accident and the other to be used for Company No. 5 which at present has an old Webb combination apparatus.
