Consultants Hurt Fire Operations, Hamilton Warns Metro Committee
Federal research and education in the fire service were major items on the program of the 1969 spring seminar of the Metropolitan Committee of the International Association of Fire Chiefs. The seminar, May 2-5, was hosted by Chief P. O. Williams of the Atlanta Fire Department, with the day-long meetings at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Chief Gordon Vickery of Seattle was this year’s Metropolitan chairman, and the program was drawn up by Chiefs Joseph Redden of Newark, N. J., and John T. O’Hagan of New York.
