American Fire Engine Company Election.
The annual meeting of the stockholders of the American Fire Engine Company was held at the office of the company in Seneca Falls on February 13. It was attended by W. H. Traver, C. P. Collier and D. B. Collier of Hudson, Chris. Ahrens and C. F. Hawekotte of Cincinnati, Geo. E. Holroyd of Waterford, and by the local stockholders. The election for directors resulted in the unanimous choice of Chris, Ahrens, Horace Silsby, Charles T. Silsby, William S. Silsby, George E. Holroyd, Herman H. Wefel and DuBois Collier. An election of officers by the directors was subsequently held when the old officers were chosen without opposition, as follows: President, Chris. Ahrens; vice-president, George li. Ilolroyd; treasurer, Charles T. Silsby; secretary, William S. Silsby. Horace Silsby was chosen as manager and G. F. Ahrens as mechanical engineer of the Seneca Falls works, and C. K. Ilawekotte manager of the Cincinnati works. The financial and business affairs of the company were found to be in a health)condition, and all the stockholders expressed themselves as well pleased with the amount of business transacted during the past year.
