Airman and Fire Fighter Honored by Britain

A United States serviceman and a British fireman have both been decorated at London for their brave but unavailing efforts to save a child, the small daughter of another American serviceman, in a fire.

They are Master Sgt. S. Sneed ( USAF) and Fireman J. F. Cassidy of the Middlesex County Fire Service at Haves who at a double ceremony at West Drayton R.A.F. Station, occupied by the U.S.A.F., were both presented with the Bronze Medal of the Society for the Protection of Life from Fire.
