Two Firefighters Stabbed Responding to Medical Call in San Diego

Twofirefighterswere stabbed while responding to anEMScall in San Diego, California, according to a news report.

NBC San Diego reported that the crew was responding to help an “intoxicated subject” at 3:55 p.m. on Wednesday when theincidentoccurred.

When they arrived, a bystander reportedly attacked the firefighters. A witness said she saw a suspect wrestling with officers on the ground and a firefighter rushing up to help them, according to the report.

The firefighters apparently sustained nonlife-threatening wounds from the stabbing, and the suspect was apprehended.
