Helicopter Crashes into NYC’s East River; FDNY Aids in Rescues

A helicopter crashed into the East River near 34th street in Manhattan on Tuesday. FDNY firefighters and police helped rescue the people aboard, according to reports from Fox News and the Associated Press.

The helicopter sank to the bottom of the river. Divers were deployed to located the wreckage.

An updated report fromWNYW Fox 5in New York indicates that a female tourist from Sydney, Australia, was killed in the crash. Four other people aboard the aircraft were injured.
