D.C. Firefighters Rescue Several Occupants from Two-Alarm Fire

Firefightersmade multiple rescues yesterday during a fire at a rowhouse that went to two alarms in the Columbia Heights section of Washington, D.C.

According to department’s social media accounts, the fire occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, in a three-story building in the 1500 block of Park Road NW. The fire involved the top floor and attic of the structure and necessitated the rescue of several people.

According toNBC Washington, crews rescued a man who was stuck on the third floor and had considered jumping out a window before firefighters reached him.

One patient was transported with nonlife-threatening injuries, and there was no apparent fire extension to adjacent structures. The department noted that 28 people were displaced by the fire.
