>> TRACY KOSLOWSKI was named the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 2013 Fire and Life Safety Educator of the Year. Koslowski serves as the Drexel Heights Fire District (Tuscon, Arizona) public information officer, overseeing all of the district's public education programs and representing it with the news media while performing fire marshal duties. She has pioneered innovative fire safety outreach programs to address all-terrain vehicle crashes, preteen and teenage fitness and fire preparedness, and child passenger safety among others. NFPA's Fire and Life Safety Educator of the Year Award recognizes a fire and life safety educator who works for a local fire department, uses NFPA's materials in consistent and creative ways, and views NFPA as the source for safety information.www.nfpa.org.
