Detroit crews battled this recent fire at a vacant home with an occupied home as an exposure, and Dennis Walus captured some photos from the scene.
On Tuesday, October, 17, at approximately 2230 hours, Detroit fire companies responded to numerous fires in the same area of the 2nd battalion. Crews found a vacant dwelling at Wetherby & Garden with an occupied dwelling as an exposure. Chief 2 ordered defensive operations on the vacant dwelling. Ladder 8 was set up for ladder pipe operations, and the fire was brought under control in two hours.
