Buffalo (NY)firefightersmade quick work of a fire at an occupied 2 1/2-story wood frame at 561 Monroe Street on March 12, 2015.

First-arriving companies reported fire showing from a window on the first floor. The fire extended from the first floor to the second floor and to the attic.
Crews used three 1 3/4-inch lines and 75 feet worth of ladders. One occupant was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Damage was listed at $75,000 to the building and $15,000 to the contents. The cause is under investigation.
