Fallen Houston Firefighters Honored in Ceremony

Some of Houston’s hometown heroes paid homage Saturday to their fallen comrades during the city’s annual firefighters memorial ceremony, reports KTRK.

从美国国会议员城市勒aders and the fire chief, the tribute to the four firefighters who died last year was touching. On Saturday, 68 fallen firefighters were honored, including the four who were killed in May 31 motel fire in southwest Houston.

Matthew Renaud, Robert Bebee, Robert Garner and Anne Sullivan were searching for tapped victims inside the burning Southwest Inn Hotel when the roof collapsed.

Houston Fire Chief Terry Garrison calling it the most tragic day in the department’s history. A red rose and fire helmet was placed on the wall of remembrance by family members who attended the ceremony.
