CA Fire Station Damaged in Shooting

An Oakland (CA) fire station was damaged in a shooting Tuesday night that sent firefighters scrambling.

A report on SFGate.com (http://bit.ly/ZS2Jg3) details how firefighters had just returned from a call when they heard dozens of gunshots. Seconds afterwards, a bullet pierced a back window of Station 18 and exited through a front window, finally coming to rest in an apartment building across the street. The shots sent several firefighters sprawling in search of cover.

No firefighters were injured, but less than a half mile away, a man attending a vigil for a homicide victim was shot dead. No arrests have been made.
