A firefighter was injured and had to be extricated when afire apparatuswent off the road and crashed into a tree in Raritan Township, New Jersey.
The accident took place around 10:10 a.m., according to a report on NJ.com (http://bit.ly/N3XXco). Flemington-Raritan Rescue Squad extricated the firefighter from the Three Bridges Fire Company truck, which was badly damaged.
The accident took place while firefighters from several companies were responding to a reported house fire. Roads in the area were affected by snow and rain. A photo shows the front of the rig smashed in against a snow-laden tree.
