Firefighter Hit by Apparatus, Residents Burned in Connecticut Fire

A firefighter was struck by anapparatusand a resident suffered burns in a fire last night in Durham, Connecticut.

Fire crews from the Durham and South Fire companies responded, according toThe Middletown Press(http://bit.ly/1mIRnHh). A firefighter injured his ankle after he was accidentally struck by a vehicle.

One were taken to an area hospital for treatment of burns.

One of the bedrooms, where the fire likely started, sustained heavy damage. The fire may have been started by acandle.
