Water-works Reports.
TAUNTON (MASS.) WATER COMMISSIONERS for year ending November 30, 1891. Geo. F. Chace, clerk and superintendent.—This report is interesting from the facts devolved in pump trial. Rainfalls of summer from 1876 to 1891, and copious notes contained in a paper by F. N. Stearns, engineer of the State Board of Health, upon selections of sources of water supply. The sanitary condition of the water of the Taunton river is also critically considered, the State Board of Health having recommended its abandonment for use as a source of water supply.
WATERBURY (CONN.) BOARD OF WATER COMMISSIONERS for year ending December 31, 1891.—Additional water supply under consideration. Appointment of Rudolph Hering, C. E., to examine sources of supply, etc.
