WATER SUPPLY
At Raymond, N. H., the extension of the water system on Long Hill is completed, and work on the Manchester street extension is progressing rapidly.
Several bids for the construction of a new pumping station at Little Quittacus pond ranged from $57,139.17. Daniel O’Connell & Son, Holyoke, to $78,170. None of the bidders were New Bedford, Mass., men.
