Chief Hunt of Seattle, Wash., was arrested some time ago, and was charged with obtaining naturalization papers through fraud. His trial was held on the 6th inst. The new chief was acquitted after proving that his birthplace was in Grand Rapids, Mich. The prosecution attempted to prove that Chief Hunt forswore his allegiance during his residence in Canada.
