The water supply system of Lockport, N. Y., is valued at $750,895, according to an inventory of the permanent assets of the department furnished the water board by Superintendent Fred S. White. The pumping station and machinery at the North Tonawanda plant, with the 30-inch steel force main, the 24-inch distributing main and the standpipe near Lockport, are valued at $595,000. The old pumping station and the machinery installed there (now used as city hall) are worth $85,700. Forty miles of water pipe and 600 fire hydrants are also valued at $325,680.
