Statewide First Aid Council Urged
At a meeting of delegates of emergency and first aid councils of New York state, sponsored by the Rockland County Council on February 22, approval was given to promotion of a state council, similar to ones established in New Jersey, Rhode Island, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and other states.
William R. Borden, former president of the New Jersey State Council and chairman of the committee promoting a national council, told how New Jersey started with five units in 1929 and how the movement became statewide.
