Nine Cities and Towns Held Course Last Year —Many Departments Have Now Established Regular Course of Instruction for Firemen
THE school for firemen conducted in Greenwood, September 5 to 9 marked the end of special fire department instruction work in Mississippi last year. This work was inaugurated in May, 1931, and since that time sixteen schools have been conducted. This work was limited to the summer months due to fire chiefs’ reluctance to undertake instruction courses during other months which are, normally, periods of increased fire department activity.
