September Fire Losses
Estimated file losses in the United States during September amounted to $73,303,000, the National Board of Fire Underwriters has reported.
According to Lewis A. Vincent, NBFU’s general manager, this $73,303,000 loss represents an increase of 1.4 per cent from losses of $72,264,000 reported for September 1957, and a decrease of 2.9 per cent from losses of $75,491,000 for last August.
