September Fire Losses
Estimated fire losses in the United States during September amounted to $58,949,000. it was reported by the National Board of Fire Underwriters.
According to Lewis A. Vincent, NBFU’s general manager, this $58,949,000 loss represents an increase of 10.4 per cent over losses of $53,398,000 reported for September 1951, and an increase of 4.4 per cent over losses of $56,462,000 for last August (1952).
