Salary Increase at Detroit
In the total estimate of $1,590,032.12, for the Dctroi_____ Mich., fire department’s budget, passed by the fire commission, provision is made for $100,000 in salary increases, to be distributed among the members of the department, at an average gain of $100 a year. The total estimate is divided into two parts—$1,_____02 300.12 for maintenance and $387,672 for improvements. Following is a table of the p_____esent and the proposed salaries of the firemen:
If the above increases are granted by the common council, they will take effect on the first pay-day in July.
