HOSE PRACTICES IN FIRE SERVICE TRAINING, prepared by the Department of Fire Protection Technology of the Technical Institute, College of Engineering, Oklahoma State University, is the revised fourth edition of a popular “red book.” The 70-page manual covers the use and application of fire hose couplings, adapters and accessories; the principles and methods of loading, unloading, carrying and advancing fire hose; and the procedures in testing and caring for fire hose. It may be ordered from the Fire Protection Department, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Okla., or from local distributors in six states. The price is $1.50.
