PROGRESS IN FILTRATION.
The New York Continental Jewell Filtration company, of New York and Chicago, reports an active demand for its water purifying appliances. Among its recent sales are the following: Peter Breidt City Brewery company, Elizabeth, N. J.; Crystal Ice and Power company (ice plant), Danville, Va.; Jerome Avenue pumping station (boiler service), New York city; R. H. H. Steele laundry, Jersey City, N. J.: the Orr company, Troy, N. Y. (paper manufacturers; increasing their large plant previously installed by the New York Continental Jewell Filtration company). The following textile mills also had filtration systems installed: Chas. H. Whitly & Brother, Philadelphia, Pa.; A. H. Sims company, Montreal, Que., Canada; Laurens cotton mills, Laurens, S. C.; P. & J. Coates company, Ltd., Pawtucket, R. I.
