Paid Department at Greenville
The fire department in Greenville, Tex., was in former years a volunteer department, but it was recently changed to a paid department with eighteen paid men. Thirteen men arc at the stations of which there arc three. Fiive men, styled minute men, respond to all alarms, but are only paid when their services are needed. The following are. the officers of department: John Rowsev, chief; Charles W. Combs, assistant chief; Charles Guthrie, captain, Central Station; Lon Harbusk, captain, Station No. 1; J Brown, captain, Station No. 2.
