Oldest "Living" Fire?
According to Colliers (Dec. 6, 1946), America’s most famous burning coal mine is at Summit Hill, Pennsylvania. Defying tbe numerous attempts that have been made to extinguish it, this fire has burned continuously for the past 115 years.
