The Ohio State Firemen’s Association, in annual convention at Dayton last week, re-elected R. A. Lane, president. The other officers, some of whom were again honored by the convention, included Thomas Purtell. of Cincinnati, first vice-president; John Struckholtz, of Toledo, second vice-president; John Callahan, of Columbus, third vice-president; Charles Ludy, of Troy, fourth vice-president: David Walsh, of Youngstown, financial secretary-treasurer, and David Kay, of Youngstown, recording secretary. The trustees elected comprised R. J. Allen, of Cleveland. chairman: Isadore Miller, of Cincinnati; John Ponz. of Toledo; W. A. McQuad, of Portsmouth: Henry Guendelberger, of Sanduskv; Tohn Mittlehauser. of Tronton. and William McFadden, of Dayton. Toledo was selected as the next convention city , by almost unanimous vote. Cincinnati and Columbus were mentioned as 1913 hosts, but were not even voted upon. The next convention will be held next September at Toledo, in order to give those members who attend a chance to witness the ceremonies in connection with the celebration of Perry’s victory.
