New York Firefighters Pull Two from Burning Mobile Home

Moyers Corners (NY)volunteerfirefightersrescuedtwo men from a mobile home fire in the town of Clay on Christmas morning.

A report from syracuse.com (http://bit.ly/1B2dbDt) told the story of the rescue. Responders arriving at the scene could hear one victim’s cries for help, but couldn’t enter the structure due to the conditions.

Firefighters forced the rear door of the home, but were unable to make entry. After entering the front door, flames from the kitchen fire spread rapidly. Firefighters crawled from the family room, through the kitchen to a short corridor and into the bedroom, where the 49-year-old victim was located. They shut the door and removed the victim through a window.

Firefighters then located a 31-year-old male victim in another part of the structure.
