NEWS OF THE AMERICAN-LA FRANCE FIRE ENGINE COMPANY.
The officers of the American-La France Fire Engine company entertained its engine and apparatus salesmen at the factory in Elmira. N. Y., on the 17th and 18th instant, and the affair was pronounced a very pleasant and beneficial one. The new buildings in course of erection, and which will make this plant the largest and most complete of its kind in the world, were noted with great encouragement by the salesmen. The meeting was called by the general sales manager, C. J. Cross, and was attended by President J. R. Darke, Secretary E. de N. Sands. Treasurer W. G. McIntyre and other officials of the company, as well as all of the principal salesmen. The following men were present:
