Mr. Davies Retires from Goodyear Company
I. E. Davies who for a number of years was identified with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in its truck fire department and latterly as head of the Fleet Sales Department, State Municipal Division, of that company, has severed his connections with it. Mr. Davies is well and favorably known to the chiefs of the fire departments throughout the country and has been a familiar figure at the national and state conventions of fire associations wherever they have been held. In many cases he has prepared and read many interesting papers on the subject of tires for fire apparatus, for these associations. Mr. Davies, it will remembered, has been a valued contributor to the columns of FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING on several occasions on this same subject. At present he has made no new business connection, but it is probable that wish his long and valuable experience and his extensive acquaintance with chiefs of fire departments throughout the country he will soon identify himself with some concern working along these lines.
