Mother of Chief McAuliffe Dead
Katherine Wegener McAuliffe, seventy-three years old, died of a heart ailment on December 23. She was the wife of retired Deputy Chief Jeremiah McAuliffe, of the Chicago Fire Department, and the mother of Frank C. McAuliffe, Chief of the Chicago Fire Insurance Patrols, and Jeremiah McAuliffe, Chief of the 6th Battalion, Chicago Fire Department. She was also the grandmother of Fireman Jeremiah McAuliffe, on Squad No. 1 of the Chicago Fire Department.
