Samuel Eastman & Co , of Concord, N. H., have received a number of Important orders for their new nozzle system the past week, among which is a large order from Pretoria, South Africa, for fitting up all their fire companies with this system, including Per faction holders, nozzles, and Deluge sets; also an order from Chattanooga, Tenn., Allentown, Pa , and Easton, Pa , Gardner, Mass., and severnl others.— Many comments were freely made by chief engineers at the Indianapolis convention, on the importance of the adoption of the Eastman nozzle system for the protection of firemen from electric shocks at the nozzle.
Tho Combination Ladder company, of Providence, K. I., has sold to New Hartford, N. Y., a two-horse Rumtey hook and ladder trnck, with full complement of ladders, buckets, and the usual fire tools.—Spofford, N. H., has also placed an order with the above company for one hand engine, one Gleason and Bailey hose carriage, and fnll equipment of hose, pipes. nozzles, etc_.Shipments have been made the past week by the Combination Ladder company of fire hose, as follows: Two thousand feet to Providence. H. I.; 1,000 feet to Boston, Mass.; 500 feet to New Britain, Conn.—One of the largest badge orders received by this company during the season has just been filled for New London, Conn., comprising 400 badges of special and unique design.
