P. J. Cooney, the St. Louis apparatus builder, is building two one-horse hose wagons for Shelbyville, Ind,; two hose carts for Aurora, Mo.; a racing cart for Fort Smith, Ark.; also a No. 1 hose cart for Dallas, Tex. The racing cart will be used in the tournament to be held in Springfield., O., in June.
The Standard Thermometer Company of Peabody, Mass., have just issued four very handsome catalogues of the various devices made by them. The letter press is well nigh perfect, while the explanatory notes are valuable and interesting.
